When I started my internship, I wanted to make sure I could plan out and track my spending to make sure I was in control of my spending and could save enough. At the time I really didn't trust any budgeting apps because of the lack of control so I simply used Google Sheets as my budgeting tool.

Here are the reasons I like Google Sheets:

All Within Google With Google's Drive being so useful in placing documents and personal projects, adding my budgeting plan seemed like the next easy step. I wouldn't have a extra app on my phone and I would be familiar with the design and functions of Excel.

Complete Flexibility

As time has gone on and my financial expenses, savings, and investments have changed, Google Sheets is an extremely easy platform to use in order to accommodate these developments.

Keeping It Simple & Doing It Yourself Google Sheets might not be designed and tailored for the task of financial management but because of it's rawness means that it forces you to plan out how your finances will look across a range of different variables. Without a beautiful and instantly-designed layout, you have the responsibility to make it so.
