If you are getting cabin fever or restless staying in your home then maybe it is time to set a consistent and basic exercise routine for yourself. Maybe you are craving for your gym or a run but still want to stay responsible, time to change it up with a exercise that is safe but still effective.

Utilising your own bodyweight can still deliver very good results and maintain your fitness. There is a wide range of exercises such as yoga or calisthenics that can target key areas of the body and help you maintain your mental health during this period.

Here are a couple ways that can make exercising easier at home.

1. Live Streaming Fitness Instructors

Although fitness studios are temporarily shut, fitness instructors are still helping people get fit. Whether you want pilates, yoga, or any other type, these instructors are using the power of social media to connect with existing and new clients with FREE STREAMED CLASSES. Just search online or ask friends for recommendations.

2. Develop A HIIT Routine

Think you only need weights? Fitness isn't just about lifting dumb-bells but having a holistic routine that addresses the key needs of strength, flexibility, and endurance.

Personally, I am doing a 45 Seconds On / 15 Seconds Rest routine over 6 exercises for 2-3 sets to make sure that I get a good burn and feel active. I utilise a range of pushups, squats, and core exercises so that I workout the whole body.

Think about what is important to you and find a set of exercises that targets those areas. Good Luck!

3. Maintain Healthy Diet

Don't participate in the panic buying of food, the government had maintained that grocery chains will be open and that supporting local businesses is paramount. Please plan ahead and smartly to buy from your local supermarket so that you get an amount that you will fully utilise throughout this period without sacrificing on nutrients and a healthy diet.

For those cheat days, look at the local business that both deliver a deliciously healthy meal so that you can help them keep afloat.

And don't just get snacks and meals, think about what your body needs to stay healthy.
