Working from home still means that you are tied to your daily tasks and responsibilities but it presents an opportunity to focus on self development by deepening and widening your skills.

With the Industrial Revolution 4.0 (https://www.forbes.com/sites/bernardmarr/2018/09/02/what-is-industry-4-0-heres-a-super-easy-explanation-for-anyone/#24a6fd99788a) coming, most if not all jobs are going to be disrupted by technology and changing consumer needs.

Here are a few ways to get started on broadening your skills and mindset to help you be invaluable in this revolution.

1. Udemy - https://www.udemy.com/ Udemy is a online teaching website that offers courses that touches upon a wide variety of subjects that range from coding and programming to business and marketing studies. I personally like it because of the video based teaching and the high quality of some of the lecturers that make new subjects easy to understand and relatable.

The main strength of this series is the presenter. He focuses on the fundamentals of business strategy to help any budding and potential entrepreneur analyse markets, competitors, and their own business idea.

2. EdX - https://www.edx.org/course This platform provides online courses from world renowned universities that are either certified or non certified. This platform is championing the wave of democratising higher education for working professionals by offering free courses. Even though having a certification is good, the knowledge is the critical component. Currently I am doing one from Harvard call Entrepreneurship In Emerging Economies and the level of the lecturers has been extremely high as they are faculty members of Harvard. Having that exposure to them is an amazing opportunity as it is totally free.

3. YouTube At lastly we have YouTube, the bastion of all knowledge, skills, and tutorials. From coding, video editing, operations management, and language training, YouTube has everything.

Personally I use YouTube to keep abreast of changing global marketing and industry trends as well as monitor local thought-leaders. They usually have a structured channels that segments the out the content and skills taught to make sure you can find the skill you want to learn in the easiest and most engaging way.
