It's Okay Just To Chill

Seeing all those IG posts about increasing productivity and taking this opportunity to learn might be pushing you to squeeze every ounce out of every day. I know I was. But after workout-filled days and e-learning meals, I slowly realised that this just isn't sustainable long term.


I wanted, of course, to be productive but also to know when to put that aside and just listen to a nice podcast while playing some mobile game. Here are a couple reasons why taking a break for yourself is just as important as being productive. 1. Spacing Out Is Good Although having a To-Do List is good to accomplishing tasks, creating list after list might not be good for your overall mental health. Sometimes it is good just to lay on your bed and just listen to some music or play a mobile game without focusing on your next task or goal.


Maybe listen to a whole music playlist on YouTube or maybe look into a mobile game that you enjoy and just play away. Personally I love Tower Defence games while listening to my podcasts.

2. Caring Tasks Over Accomplisment Tasks The MCO is more a mental and emotional battle for most. You have taken as many precautions as possible such as reduced outdoor exposure, extreme financial budgeting, as well as connecting with friends and family over digital channels.


You have done all you can and recognise that.


But now is the time to take care of your mind and your own self. Think about a vice that you truly want and that allows you to relax in the present. Whether it be a ASMR video or a self facial, these kind of tasks might not give you the skills to excel in your profession but will relax your mind to make you more effective and hungry.


3. Look For A Delicious Meal

This is the time of Economy Rice. But a good meal can raise spirits and really brighten one's day.

Whether it is a KFC Meal or a take-out from a fancy cafe, there are still many establishments are doing delivery and giving you your favourite pasta, burger or steak.


Just check out on social media for any announcements any menus to start drooling and selecting your little favourite meal. FYI, only do this if it is financially responsible for you to do so.
